Admission is conducted through an oral entrance examination.
The aim of the program
The programme aims to:
provide students with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge enabling them to understand, interpret and analyse key issues at the intersection of the French language and intercultural communication;
equip students with the knowledge, skills and competencies required to pursue professional activities in the field of intercultural communication;
develop and strengthen students’ practical translation skills in line with current labour-market requirements.
Advantages
The programme curriculum has been developed from a practical perspective, with particular emphasis on enabling students to apply the knowledge acquired through their studies in professional contexts. The curriculum has been designed in accordance with current labour-market demands.
The development of the programme was also informed by the models of relevant Master’s programmes offered by the following universities in France:
Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 University (“Arts”, “Literature”, “Languages”);
Aix-Marseille University (“Intercultural Communication: Language, Literature, Arts”);
University of Lille (“Applied Foreign Languages”);
University of Franche-Comté (“Applied Linguistics”).
Students’ learning and professional development are further supported through cooperation with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the Erasmus+ Programme, and other initiatives. Through these partnerships, students have opportunities to pursue study and academic exchanges at partner universities in France.
Career opportunities for graduates
The programme is designed to meet the needs of both local and international employers. Graduates may pursue careers in international organisations—including the United Nations, the Embassy of France and Alliance Française—as well as in the business sector. They may also work in public-sector institutions, cultural organisations, diplomatic services, media organisations, tourism, publishing, non-governmental organisations and private enterprises, among other fields.
