Admission is carried out according to the "Regulation of admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (according to Bachelor's and continuous and integrated educational programs)".

2. Programme Objectives
· To prepare specialists with fundamental knowledge, high theoretical training, ability, and skills to perform scientific research in culture and cultural policy, who are oriented to the implementation of administrative and political activities in the field of culture and cultural policy.
· To equip students with theoretical, methodical, and applied knowledge of scientific disciplines that study culture, and skills to perform cultural analyses and studies.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- To present the scientific methods of studying culture, issues of culture theory, and history.
- To present the process of development of scientific thought in cultural studies.
- To interpret the interrelationships and interactions of culture and related fields.
- To define the principles, frameworks, and tools for the study of cultural processes, and to characterize the principles and practices of cultural management.
- To present the history and progress of the development of separate areas of culture.
- To characterize the history of regional and Armenian cultures and modern cultural processes in neighboring countries of Armenia.
- To present the trends in the history of Armenian culture and the development of modern Armenian culture.
- To popularize scientific, practical, and political issues related to the history and cultural heritage of Armenian and world culture.
- To evaluate and analyze modern cultural processes, interactions, and manifestations of Armenian cultural heritage.
- In the context of cultural policy, to propose solutions to the problems related to the preservation and popularization of cultural heritage.
- To apply professional knowledge in different fields of work and public discourses.
- To analyze the patterns of historical developments of Armenian and world cultures.
- To carry out research, prepare questionnaires, conduct interviews, decipher and analyze the collected materials, to work in a research team.
- To collect, process, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data related to the professional field to make informed judgments.
- To present and explain information, arguments, ideas, problems, and their solutions related to cultural studies to the professional and non-professional public.
- To use various sources related to culture (Internet resources, electronic libraries, scientific works, etc.).
- To prepare and present academic and scientific texts, conduct debates, observing the rules of professional ethics.
- To communicate, formulate, and present oral and written logical speech in native and foreign languages.
- To read, interpret, and translate professional texts written in foreign languages.
- To orientate in emergencies and provide first aid if necessary.
4. Assessment methods
Based on the workload of the courses (educational modules) provided by the curriculum of the educational program, the form of training, teaching methods, and taking into account the degree of importance of the course in the formation of professional knowledge and abilities of the student, the courses are divided into 4 groups according to the evaluation form:
a) with the final assessment,
b) without final assessment,
c) without evaluation of mid-term exams,
d) check-up
Accordingly, the evaluation components of the given course and the points allocated to them are chosen by the teaching professor and approved by the Chair. The forms of evaluations and examinations are indicated in the specification of the given educational program, in the course summary. At the end of the program, students submit a thesis for defense.

5. Graduates future career opportunities
Graduates of the Chair of Cultural Studies are qualified as cultural theorists and cultural history researchers, cultural managers, and experts of current cultural processes, which enables them to work in the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, in RA civil service, in relevant departments of the RA Government, in regional cultural centers. In various museums of Armenia, tourist organizations, mass media, and non-governmental organizations implementing social research, as well as international structures implementing social, cultural, and public programs.
6. Resources and forms to support learning
Lectures are organized through computer presentations. Printed and electronic materials are provided, and materials related to the courses are downloaded on relevant university platforms. Lectures and practical training are organized in museums, cultural areas, and monuments in Yerevan and near Yerevan.
7. Educational standards or programme benchmarks used for programme development
The characteristics presented for the 6th level of the RA National Framework of Qualifications, the "Management Manual for the Development of Educational Programs of YSU" prepared by the YSU Quality Assurance Center, the "Guide for filling out the Educational Program Specification and Course Descriptors" and other materials, as well as foreign similar undergraduate educational programs of universities were used to develop the program.
