Admission to the existing education system is carried out according to the "Regulation of admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (according to bachelor's and continuous and integrated educational programs)"

2. Programme Objectives
· To provide students with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of scientific disciplines studying art.
· To develop artistic analysis and research skills among students.
· To prepare specialists with high theoretical training, ability, and skills to perform research, administrative and public work.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Comprehensively describe the course of development of art history and theory, fundamental trends from ancient times to the present day.
- Present the problems, theories, and methods of Armenian and world art.
- Point out the place and role of Armenian art in the context of world art history.
- Determine the time and place of creation of the artwork.
- Elucidate the problems related to different artistic fields.
- Justify the changes and interactions that appeared in different periods of art.
- Characterize the contemporary artistic processes of Armenian and world art in Armenia and the Armenian diaspora.
- Comment on the scientific and political questions related to different stages of Armenian and world art history.
- Apply descriptive, source-scientific, analytical-comparative, pictorial, and stylistic methods of art study when presenting works of art.
- Expertly analyze works of art in the context of aesthetics.
- Identify unknown and forgotten contemporary artists, to evaluate their works, and to put unknown and neglected works into scientific circulation.
- Organize and curate exhibitions and displays, applying professional knowledge and skills.
- Present and explain information, ideas, problems, and their solutions related to art studies to the professional and non-professional public.
- Collect, process, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data related to the professional field to make informed judgments.
- Use various sources of information in Armenian and foreign languages, using modern information and communication technologies.
- Observe the scientific literature in Armenian and foreign languages and evaluate the sources (manuscripts, lithographic inscriptions).
- Communicate, formulate, and present oral and written logical speech in native and foreign languages.
- Prepare essays, and reports, conduct debates on artistic topics, observing the rules of professional ethics.
- Apply analytical and critical thinking in evaluating contemporary trends in art studies.
4. Assessment methods
Based on the workload of the courses (educational modules) provided by the curriculum of the educational program, mode of study, teaching methods, and taking into account the degree of importance of the course in the formation of professional knowledge and abilities of the student, the courses are divided into 4 groups according to the assessment:
a) with the final assessment,
b) without final assessment,
c) without assessment of mid-term exams,
d) check-ups
Accordingly, the evaluation components of the given course and the points allocated to them are chosen by the teaching professor and approved by the chair. The forms of conducting assessments and examinations are indicated in the specification of the given educational program, in the course summary.
At the end of the program, students submit a thesis for defense.

5. Graduates future career opportunities
Graduates of the proposed program can continue their education in Armenian or foreign universities with Master's educational programs, as well as get jobs in secondary professional educational institutions, travel agencies, museums, the media sector, and elsewhere.
6. Resources and forms to support learning
To facilitate the achievement of the results defined by the educational program, students will be provided with printed and electronic materials, audio-visual materials and films will be shown in the auditoriums equipped with appropriate equipment of the faculty. Periodic visits to RA museums, galleries, artists' studios, and historical and cultural monuments are also planned.
7. Educational standards or programme benchmarks used for programme development
While developing the "Art Studies" bachelor's program, the protection, preservation, and development of the national values and interests of the Armenians was adopted as the main orientation and standard.
Similar programs of foreign universities (USA, France, Great Britain, Italy, and RF) were taken into account when developing the "Art studies" bachelor's program.
When developing the program, the characteristics presented for the 6th level of the national framework of qualifications of the RA, the "Management manual for the development of YSU educational programs" prepared by the YSU quality assurance center, the "Guide for completing the educational program specification and course descriptors" were adopted and used as a basis. "Development of industrial courses and educational programs, lecturer's manual" (ed.: A. Budaghyan, A. Grigoryan) and other materials.
