1. Admission criteria/requirements
Admission to the full-time mode of study is carried out according to the "Regulation of admission to state and non-state higher educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia (according to Bachelor's and continuing and integrated educational programs)".
Admission is carried out through the following exams:

2. Programme Objectives
· Prepare specialists who will have a fundamental knowledge of archeology and ethnology, their theory and methodology, and modern research methods and tools; will be competitive in the Armenian and international educational and scientific markets, will be able to perform research and scientific practical works; will be oriented to public and socially active.
· To form in the student the necessary qualities for administrative and social-political activities.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- To present the issues of theory, methodology, and history of ethnology/anthropology and archaeology.
- To define the Armenian cultural heritage (with archaeological and ethnological components) as a system.
- To present the archaeological and ethnological history of the main complexes and sub-complexes of Armenian culture.
- To list and characterize the main sources of Armenian archeology and ethnology.
- To apply the latest and newest methods in solving archaeological and ethnological problems.
- To define the main principles of preparation, organization, and conduct of archaeological and ethnographic field research, summarization, and analysis of results.
- To present the complexes of archaeological and ethnographic material and spiritual cultures and their features.
- To analyze the theoretical and methodological problems of archaeological and ethnological disciplines.
- To discuss and analyze the Armenian cultural heritage in the civilizational context of ancient societies.
- To implement programs on ethnological/anthropological, as well as demographic problems and developments.
- To prepare and present abstracts, reports, and theses on archaeological and ethnological/anthropological topics.
- To conduct professional debates, round tables, observing the rules of professional ethics.
- To apply new and innovative methods in solving archaeological and ethnological problems.
- To freely navigate and work in archives, museums, and repositories, with various ethnographic and archaeological field materials.
- To outline and interpret the patterns and interactions of the cultures and ethnological/anthropological development of ancient, ancient, and medieval Armenia with neighboring countries.
- To use various sources of information (libraries, archives, Internet resources), to navigate in professional literature, field reports, maps, and plans.
- To communicate, formulate, and present professional oral and written reports and articles in native and foreign languages.
- To perform analytical, research work based on actual material.
- To creatively realize and publicize the acquired knowledge.
4. Assessment methods
Based on the workload of the courses (educational modules) provided by the curriculum of the educational program, the form of training, teaching methods, and taking into account the degree of importance of the course in the formation of professional knowledge and abilities of the student, the courses are divided into 4 groups according to the assessment form:
a) with the final assessment,
b) without final assessment,
c) without evaluation of mid-term exams,
d) check-ups.
Accordingly, the evaluation components of the given course and the points allocated to them are chosen by the teaching professor and approved by the Chair. The forms of evaluations and examinations are indicated in the specification of the given educational program, in the course summary.
At the end of the program, students submit a final work for defense.

5. Graduates future career opportunities
Specialists who have received a Bachelor's degree will be able to work in the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, "Historical-Cultural Reserve-Museums and Historical Environment Protection Service" SNCO, the Research Center of Historical-Cultural Heritage, the state administration system (ministries, departments), regional administrations, community administrations, museums, tourist centers, and other organizations.
6. Resources and forms to support learning
To facilitate the achievement of the results defined by the educational program, students are provided with printed and electronic materials. Audio-visual materials, films, and archaeological collections are shown in the auditoriums of the faculty equipped with appropriate appliances.
7. Educational standards or programme benchmarks used for programme development
While developing the "Archaeology and Ethnography" Bachelor's educational program, the rich scientific and pedagogical experience of specialists in the field, both in the republic and abroad, was adopted as the main orientation and standard. A number of similar programs of foreign universities (USA, Great Britain, Russia, Germany, and Austria) were taken into account.
The characteristics presented for the 6th level of the RA National Framework of Qualifications, the YSU Quality Assurance Center's "Lecturer's Manual for the Development of Educational Programs", "Guidelines for Completing the Educational Program Specification and Course Descriptors", lecturer’s manual for "Development of Effective Courses and Educational Programs " (ed.: A. Budaghyan, A. Grigoryan) were used.
