1. Admission criteria/requirements
Admission to the Master’s programme in Armenology (Armenian Studies) is conducted through an oral examination.

2. Programme Objectives
The Armenology Master’s programme aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the core disciplines of Armenian studies, such as history, linguistics, literary, cultural, and diaspora studies. The programme prepares educators and academic professionals for both Armenian educational institutions in the Republic of Armenia and in the Diaspora.
The programme’s main objectives include:
· Providing fundamental knowledge related to the latest developments in each discipline within Armenian studies.
· Developing students’ comprehensive understanding of the key issues and research topics of these disciplines.
· Equipping students with the scientific and methodological skills necessary for conducting research in Armenian studies.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Professional knowledge and understanding
- գիտակցել հայագիտության համակարգի գիտակարգերից յուրաքանչյուրին բնորոշ գիտելիքների համակարգման անհրաժեշտությունը,
- վերարտադրել ստացված գիտելիքները հայագիտության համակարգի գիտակարգերից,
- արտահայտել հայագիտության համակարգի գիտակարգերի ընդհանուր ուղղվածությունը,
- գիտակցել հայագիտության համակարգի գիտակարգերից յուրաքանչյուրում առկա արդիական հիմնախնդիրները,

- օտար լեզվով կարդալ, գրել, խոսել, լսելով հասկանալ բանավոր խոսքը,
- աշխատել տեքստի, գրաֆիկական օբյեկտների, աղյուսակների հետ:

4. Graduates future career opportunities
The Master’s programme in Armenian Studies was launched at YSU in 2014 in cooperation with Hamazkayin, the largest educational and cultural union of the Armenian Diaspora, with the goal of preparing specialists in Armenian studies for schools and educational institutions of the Diaspora.
To date, the programme has over 40 graduates, who have gained:
· Comprehensive knowledge of the main academic branches of Armenian studies
· Systematic understanding of individual disciplines
· In-depth knowledge of key issues in Armenian studies
· Scientific and methodological preparation necessary for professional research
Graduates have successfully pursued responsible professional roles in educational and research institutions in Armenia and the Diaspora, as well as positions within the RA public sector.
Graduates also have the opportunity to continue their education in doctoral programmes related to Armenian studies, such as Armenian history, culture, language & literature.
