ADMISSION CRITERIA/REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the Bachelor's degree program is carried out according to the relevant procedure approved by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

2. Programme Objectives
AIMS OF THE PROGRAM
The program aims to train specialists in philosophy, logic, and ethics, who will work in education, science, and civil society as teachers, analysts, and consultants, and will be able to continue their education and specialize in philosophy, logic, and ethics.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- To present philosophy, its main concepts, and functions.
- To describe the fields of application of philosophical knowledge
- To interpret different philosophical directions, modern problems, and concepts of philosophy.
- To present the structure of the social system and the main patterns of development.
- To explain the main stages of world development and Armenian philosophical thought.
- To explain the socio-cultural consequences of the development of science.
- To clarify the fundamental and private principles of logical regularity of thinking.
- To explain the main stages and methods of the cognitive process.
- To clarify the key principles and values underlying national identity and public relations.
- To analyze philosophical issues and concepts, their features, and practical aspects.
- To distinguish regular connections of phenomena from coincidences and to make philosophical generalizations.
- To apply philosophical knowledge and methods during the study of general cognitive and private scientific problems.
- To perform analytical-logical operations of generalization of facts and specification of philosophical propositions.
- To conduct practical discussions and debates, demonstrating a proper culture of logic, eloquence, and argumentation.
- To demonstrate critical and creative thinking when analyzing professional issues and current events.
- To present and interpret information, arguments, and ideas related to philosophy.
- To apply philosophical knowledge to justify one's position.
- To use various sources of information to get acquainted with the latest developments in philosophical thought.

4. Assessment methods
ASSESSMENT
At YSU, there is a multi-factor system of periodic verification and evaluation of student's knowledge, which includes the following components:
1. assessment of mastering the sub-sections of the course (academic module) during the semester (2 mid-term exams),
2. mid-term check-ups of individual topics of the course (academic module) during the semester,
3. verification and assessment of the implementation and assimilation of independent tasks provided by the program during the semester (independent work),
4. evaluation of independent and/or group research planned by the program during the semester (research that replaces any of the mid-term exams),
5. evaluation of participation in the course (participation),
6. final evaluation of the entire course (academic module) in the exam period, which implies an evaluation of the level of achievement of the educational outcomes set for the course.
Based on the workload of the courses (academic modules) provided by the curriculum of the educational program, the form of training, and teaching methods in the formation of the student's professional knowledge and abilities, the courses are divided into 4 groups according to the evaluation form:
1. with the final assessment,
2. without final assessment,
3. Without evaluation of mid-term exams,
4. check-ups.

· availability of at least 1 scientific and/or methodological publication in the last 5 years,

· at least 3 years of experience in teaching professional courses and/or conducting trainings.
