1. Admission criteria/requirements
Admission to the full-time mode of study is carried out following the "Order of admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (according to the bachelor's educational program)", RA Government’s decision (April 26, 2012 No. 597-N).
Admission to the part-time mode of study is carried out according to the "Rules for Part-time Mode of Study Admission of State Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Armenia" (Order No. 753-Ն of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, re-approved every year).

2. Programme Objectives
· prepare specialists with fundamental knowledge, high theoretical training, ability, and skills to perform research work in the specialty of "Theology",
· provide students with quality professional skills in theology, creating enabling conditions and stimulating mechanisms for significant improvement in learning, teaching, and assessment processes

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- • To define the meaning and role of theology in the modern world, as well as its historical development process, departments, main principles, problems, and concepts, distinguishing the theoretical and applied components of theology
- • To present the history of doctrines, the characteristics of doctrinal theology, the foundations and special features of the Armenian Church, as well as interdenominational relations with other churches
- • To formulate the theoretical knowledge of the introduction to the Old and New Testaments, the schools of biblical interpretation, as well as the problems, methods, and directions of patristic studies, canon studies, and canon studies
- • To present the historical development of Christian thinking, current issues, and the relationship between the Western and Eastern churches, as well as the Armenian Church in the era of ecumenism
- • To explain the basics of the introduction, application, and theological analysis of the holiday system, the Armenian holiday system, as well as the deep theological advice behind the holidays
- • To define the principles of moral theology, emphasizing the need for their application
- • To present the historical development and modern characteristics of Christian culture, combining the Armenian medieval and modern cultural features
- • To apply professional conceptual approaches to theological analysis methods in the field of various modern problems
- • To apply the methods of theological analysis within the framework of social science, inter-denominational and inter-cultural communication
- • To carry out ethnographic, philological, and theological interpretative work in the field of biblical studies, particularly in the direction of researching the Armenian translation of the Bible
- • To carry out scientific research works within the framework of originals related to the heritage of the church fathers, the celebration system, canon law, and various theological and ecclesiological issues in general
- • To carry out educational functions
- • To analyze the problems of the relationship between theology and other sciences
- • To perform correct registry calculations, taking into account the registry features, as well as separate Armenian canon groups according to their essential meaning and content.

4. Assessment methods
Student learning outcomes are assessed according to the relevant standards set for the following forms of courses:
• with the final assessment,
• without final assessment,
• without assessment of mid-term exams,
• checkups.
In the case of language courses, they are evaluated based on the written ones.
During the program and at the end of the program, students submit final theses for defense.

Graduates of the "Theology" educational program can work in academic and church institutions, research institutes, and universities.

6. Resources and forms to support learning
To facilitate the achievement of the results defined by the educational program, students will be provided with printed and electronic materials, audio-visual materials and films will be shown in the auditoriums equipped with appropriate equipment of the faculty.
7. Educational standards or programme benchmarks used for programme development
When developing the "Theology" Bachelor's program, the national and church values and interests of Armenians, the traditions and heritage of the Christian Church, and the theoretical and methodological achievements of the world's theologians were adopted as the main orientation and criteria.

"Development of industrial courses and educational programs, lecturer's manual" (ed.: A. Budaghyan, A. Grigoryan) and other materials. While developing the "Theology" bachelor's program, similar programs of foreign universities were taken into account to some extent.

1. General Abilities
Teaching/Pedagogical
· full mastery of professional-pedagogical knowledge and skills (according to the approved subject program), simple and understandable presentation of the material, use of innovative and interactive methods in the teaching process,
· ability to communicate with students, development of professional skills, analytical thinking, and independence,
· skills to develop subject plans, and additional supporting materials, and responsibility for implementing them according to the schedule of the educational process.
Research
· Skills to perform research in "Theology and History of the Armenian Church" and related fields (printed articles, reports at international conferences, grants),
· knowledge of research methods, collection, and analysis of information on scientific novelties, prediction of the result and relevance of research work, use of obtained results in the educational process, involvement of students in scientific research,
· Ability to supervise graduation theses, Master's theses, student scientific works, and dissertation works in "Theology and History of the Armenian Church" and related professional fields.
Communication:
· excellent knowledge of Armenian, clear spoken and written language, mastery of at least one foreign language (corresponding to the A2 or B1 level of English),
· Mastery of communication skills, application of interpersonal communication methods,
· ability to work in a team, make decisions, knowledge necessary to develop projects, and programs, ability to make appropriate decisions in different communication situations.
ICT application
· To conduct scientific research and acquire new knowledge.
Other abilities
· ability to estimate necessary resources and implement projects efficiently,

· Development of new ideas in the field of "Theology and History of the Armenian Church" to carry out and invest in research works, as well as in the direction of establishing new collaborations.
· Knowledge of the methods used in the field of professional activity, the ability to analyze, conclude, and interpret the collected information,
3. General requirements
· Academic degree in history or related fields, or in case of the absence of teaching experience, at least 3 years of work experience in that field.
· At least 2 years of pedagogical experience (teaching or internships during postgraduate years) or at least 3 years of passive practical activity,
· Participation in local or international training and/or professional qualification improvement courses during the last 5 years.
· At least 3 years of practical experience in research institutes and centers, educational institutions.
