1. Admission criteria/requirements
The applicant for the program must have a certificate of secondary, primary technical, or secondary vocational education.
The admission is carried out according to the order of admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (according to the Bachelor's educational program) approved by the RA government (April 26, 2012, N 597).
The applicant should pass entrance exams in Biology, Physics/Chemistry, and the Armenian language.

2. Programme Objectives
The program aims:
· to provide students with knowledge about the fundamentals of modern basic and applied biology,
· to develop students' skills to work in education, science, and other areas of biological methods and technology application.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Present key issues in philosophy, psychology, Armenian history, economics, law, political science, cultural studies, and the history of religions that contribute to general culture and public development.
- Explain essential mathematics, physics, and basic concepts required for mastering professional subjects, including computer-based information collection, storage, and processing methods.
- Explain the basic principles of inorganic, analytical, organic, and physical chemistry necessary for professional subjects.
- Describe classification of living organisms, morphology, physiology, reproduction, geographic distribution, evolution, and ecological features of all taxonomic groups.
- Explain molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, organismal, and population-level metabolic, reproductive, differentiation, morphological, and biochemical characteristics of living organisms.
- Present the structure of genes and genomes, the genetic and epigenetic effects of natural and anthropogenic factors, principles of genetic engineering, and their application in biotechnology.
- Present molecular mechanisms of human and animal physiology, metabolism, resistance, immunity, health principles, as well as fundamental issues in mycology and plant anatomy and physiology.
- Highlight the role of biological diversity in the formation of multi-level supra-organismal systems and mechanisms ensuring organism–environment interactions.
- Organize and conduct educational, research, and applied activities in biology.
- Analyze and justify biological research results and draw conclusions.
- Apply modern biological models, methods, equipment, and software in research and applied fields.
- Carry out organizational activities in nature conservation and sustainable resource use, assessing anthropogenic impacts on the environment.
- Apply biological methods and technologies in areas such as pharmaceuticals, food production, biological examination, biosafety, human health, and agriculture.
- Work independently and in teams in professional activities while maintaining professional ethics.
- Prepare reports, present research results, and participate in scientific discussions.
- Communicate clearly and logically, orally and in writing, in the native language and at least one foreign language.
4. Assessment methods
Two mid-term and final exams are mandatory components of the course assessment with the final evaluation, and the teaching professor chooses at least one of the other components (mid-term check-ups, independent work, and participation).

· at least 3 years of experience in the organization and implementation of teaching professional courses,
· participation in local or international trainings and/or professional qualification improvement courses during the last 5 years,
· at least 5 years of work experience in any field of biological sciences: ecology and natural resource management, biotechnology and microbiology, genetics, botany and mycology, zoology, human and animal physiology, etc.
· teaching portfolio: availability of online materials for at least 50% of taught subjects,
· the average grades obtained by the results of the student survey: at least 4.0 (for teaching professors).
