Program Launch
The full-time “Microbiology and Biotechnology” educational program started in the 2017/2018 academic year.
Program Objective
The program aims to train specialists with fundamental and applied knowledge in microbiology and biotechnology, as well as the ability to conduct scientific research. Graduates will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills that meet the modern labor market requirements.
Learning Process and Resources
- The program utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and resources from the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology at Yerevan State University.
Practical training is conducted in both accredited expert laboratories and industrial laboratories across various sectors.
Faculty and International Collaboration
- The program is taught by experienced researcher-lecturers and international guest lecturers, including:
- Svetoslav Dimov (Sofia University, Bulgaria)
- Karapet Andranikyan (Hamburg University of Technology, Germany)
A dual-degree agreement exists between the YSU “Microbiology and Biotechnology” program and the “Microbiology and Physicochemistry of Food and Wine Production” program at the University of Burgundy, France.
