Solar energy is a key renewable resource for meeting global energy needs and supporting sustainability. Improving solar cell efficiency remains a major challenge, motivating the use of novel materials and nanostructures. Incorporating nanoparticles into solar cells is a promising approach to enhance light absorption and device performance. This project is a training initiative focused on developing skills in numerical modeling and simulations of solar cells. Its main goal is to build a computational framework in COMSOL Multiphysics to model nanoparticle-enhanced solar cells. A two-month research visit to the FemtoNanoOptics Group at Institut Lumière Matière is planned, providing hands-on training and collaboration opportunities. Simulations will combine optical, thermal, and stability analyses, while parametric studies will identify optimal designs. The project will support high-quality research and foster long-term collaboration․
