Prioritizing international cooperation: YSU hosts representatives from French higher education institutions
During a recent meeting with French partners, discussions focused on new avenues for advancing educational programs, fostering faculty and student mobility, and launching international internships. The meeting brought together representatives from Yerevan State University and various French higher education institutions, all of whom underscored the vital importance of deepening bilateral ties in the higher education sector.
Alexander Markarov, Head of the YSU International Cooperation Office, provided a comprehensive overview of the university's strategic priorities, educational programs and expanding global network—specifically highlighting long-standing partnerships with French universities.
Discussions focused on implementing student and faculty exchange programs aimed at fostering the sharing of expertise, enhancing educational quality, and promoting integration into the international academic community.
The parties also explored the potential for joint educational programs, including the development of double degree programs, short-term international internships, and partnerships in business, services, and artificial intelligence.
The meeting concluded with YSU officials presenting proposals for the further expansion of cooperation, with both parties agreeing to maintain a dialogue based on mutual interests.
It was noted that such initiatives can significantly broaden students' academic horizons and bolster their competitiveness in the global labor market.
