HEALTH LAW WAS DISCUSSED BY STUDENTS
Discussion on “Medical Ethics on Femida’s Scales” was held at YSU today with the participation of YSU and YSMU students.
The discussion was organized within the framework of cooperation between YSU Faculty of Law, YSMU student structures and YSMU Legal Clinic.
Students from both universities presented their views and solutions on the topic mentioned above.
“Having seen today’s discussion topics, I am sure that the need for our cooperation is further emphasized. Selected topics are very important and up-to-date. I thank the organizers for such an important initiative and wish success to all the participants,” - said Karen Gevorgyan, Deputy Dean of YSU Faculty of Law.
Representative of YSMU Legal Clinic Tigran Khachikyan noted that the event is unique: “To raise issues of legal and medical character, ensuring their joint discussion. I hope this will be the start of a series of events organized in this format to strengthen cooperation.”
During a conversation with YSU Faculty of Law SSS member Victoria Hakobjanyan said that the issues discussed are a number of legislative gaps and their legal arrangements are not widespread among Armenian society: “That is why we decided to contact YSMU students and discuss the issues together.”
The topic of the discussion included medical mistakes, abortion, euthanasia, abortion, emergency medical care and other issues.
