«STARTUP BOOST WEEKEND II» MEETING WITH YSU STUDENTS

“Startup Boost Weekend II” ս three-day program of startups boosting is scheduled for September 14-16 at American University of Armenia.

During the meeting YSU Pro-rector R.Markosyan presented the aim of the program and outlined that “Support to SME Development in Armenia” program of “EU4Business” initiative being implemented under the EU patronage, is organized due to joint efforts of YSU and a number of leading universities of Armenia.

The information on the possibilities, advantages of participation in “Startup Boost Weekend II” program, the registration procedure and prizes for winners was presented to YSU students by the members of “Breedge” team won in “Startup Boost Weekend I” Vahan Melkonyan and Alexander Davtyan.

The latter shared his experience of the previous “Startup Boost Weekend I”, presented the program of “Breedge” team won in it and its advantages.

“Startup Boost Weekend” is a 54-hour event aimed at boosting entrepreneurship and encouraging students to make changes in their environment and in the world in general.

According to Vahan Melkonayn within the three-day period students will experience all highs and lows, pressure and amusement which are typical for startups routine. In parallel with making the ideas come tru students will get the opportunity to meet with experienced entrepreneurs and investors who are ready to assist them.

Alexander Davtyan said that it is a particular opportunity for students of different majors: programmers, designers, marketing specialists or simply those who are inspired with startups to get united and form new teams to develop their ideas.

The event is organized for students with technical and non-technical education.

Alexander Davtyan also informed that prizes are provided for winners to encourage them. Registration is possible till September 8.
