Gevorg Arshakyan Knowledge School at Yerevan State University is pleased to announce the opening of admissions for its summer school program, tailored for students entering 10th to 12th grades in the 2025–2026 academic year.
Operating under YSU Student Affairs Center, Gevorg Arshakyan Knowledge School aims to foster the development of children’s and youth’s skills and capacities through non-formal education. The school is named in honor of Gevorg Arshakyan, a YSU graduate, recipient of the first-class Order of the Combat Cross, and YSU Bronze Medal honoree, who fell in the 44-day Artsakh War.
The summer school admission process will be held July 1–5, 2025, at Yerevan State University. Admission will be based on standardized tests assessing various subjects and general knowledge.
Applicants who complete the registration form will be contacted by the school’s organizing team and informed about the date and time of the entrance exam.
The application deadline is June 27, 2025.
The summer school will include two weeks of interactive sessions, such as classes, discussions, team projects, and meetings, covering (but not limited to) the following topics:
Time management
Communication skills
Self-presentation skills
Speed reading techniques
Leadership
Engaging lessons in physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics
Financial literacy
Media literacy
Public speaking skills
Environmental education
Public administration in Armenia
Armenia’s relations with neighboring countries
Entrepreneurial skills
The goal of the summer school is to develop students' competencies and promote career orientation. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the academic programs, career prospects, and opportunities offered at YSU through a dedicated career exhibition.
Students from both Yerevan and the provinces of Armenia are eligible to apply. However, please note that the program does not cover transportation or accommodation expenses.
The summer school is scheduled to take place July 14–25, 2025, with daily sessions lasting 3 hours, held at Yerevan State University.
Participation is free of charge.
