The University of São Paulo (Brazil) is organizing an online course, "Armenian Diaspora in Brazil: History, Culture, and Human Rights", which offers an in-depth study of the Armenian Genocide and the formation of the Armenian diaspora in Brazil. The course aims to provide participants with a multidisciplinary perspective, integrating historical, legal, cultural, and identity-focused analyses.
The course is structured into four modules, totaling 16 academic hours, and will be delivered on weekdays via Microsoft Teams. The working language is English.
This program is intended for students, researchers, and professionals with an interest in human rights, history, international relations, migration studies, and collective memory. It also aims to foster academic dialogue between Armenia and Brazil, fostering engagement with the academic community at Yerevan State University (YSU).
The participation fee for the group is USD 1,800, with the per-student cost determined by the total number of participants.
