The YSU Continuing Education Center announces a grant competition under the Promoting the Participation of Women and Girls in Science program to create a book and exhibition about Armenian women in science.
The competition is open to YSU researchers and research teams.
It is expected that the book and exhibition will be developed between March and July 2026.
The Promoting the Participation of Women and Girls in Science program is financed by the German government and implemented within the framework of the Feminism in Action for Structural Transformation (FAST) and Women's Empowerment for Wellbeing (WoW) programs, implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The program aims to increase interest in STEM fields among young girls and women through research, awareness-raising, and inspiring stories and examples. To achieve this, it is planned to publish a book about women from different generations involved in STEM—ranging from leaders of scientific institutions, researchers, lab assistants, postgraduates, students, to schoolgirls. The book will present both historical accounts uncovered through archival research and contemporary stories collected through interviews.
Applicants for this grant should have experience and skills in archival research, conducting interviews, museum work, and writing/curating texts for books and/or exhibitions. Applications from interdisciplinary research teams of two to three members will have a competitive advantage.
To apply, complete the attached application form and send it to cce@ysu.am by March 10, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Late applications will not be considered.
