The YSU International Cooperation Office announces the launch of the Buddy Program (Student Mentorship Program) for the 2026/2027 academic year. Students from all faculties are eligible to participate on a voluntary basis.
What is the Buddy Program?
The program, widely implemented in European universities, aims to support newly admitted and/or international students in their integration, adaptation to the university environment, and easier orientation in the academic process.
Within the program, buddies serve as a bridge between the university and new students by sharing their experience, assisting with everyday matters, and fostering a friendly environment.
What does the program include?
Guidance and support for international students
Assistance in adapting to the university system
Participation in student and cultural events
Communication and teamwork with students from universities in different countries
What will participants gain?
Experience communicating in an international environment
New connections and friendships
Development of teamwork and leadership skills
Certificate of participation (issued by the YSU International Cooperation Office)
Active involvement in university life
