YSU Announces Competition for University Symbol

Yerevan State University announces a competition for the creation of a new university symbol.

Purpose of the competition

The aim is to develop a unique and recognizable symbolic image representing YSU, embodying the university's visual identity and becoming an integral part of its brand.

Who can participate

All students of Yerevan State University and the YSU Ijevan Branch are eligible to participate.

What is expected

• Type of image: The symbol may represent an object, phenomenon, animal, or imaginary character. 

• Creative freedom: There are no genre, stylistic, or technical limitations; however, the proposed image must be suitable for both 2D and 3D visualization. 

• Originality: Submitted works must be original and authorial. The image should reflect the core values of YSU—knowledge, innovation, rich heritage, and academic traditions.

Deadline

Sketches will be accepted from May 5 to June 5, 2026.

A prize fund is established for the authors of the best works.

How to apply

Competition proposals should be sent to the YSU Marketing Department at marketing@ysu.am, indicating "YSU Symbol" in the subject line.

Your creative idea could become the new symbol of YSU.
