The Armenian Research Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn will host the international conference "Churches, States, and Politics in the Armenian Diaspora" from April 9-11, 2027. The conference will focus on the activities of Armenian Apostolic, Catholic and Evangelical churches in the Diaspora, their relations with states and political organizations, as well as the various legal, political and social dimensions of church-state relations.
The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2026.
Interested researchers should submit:
abstract of up to 300 words;
up-to-date CV.
Applicants will be notified of accepted papers by October 15, 2026.
The primary working language of the conference is English. Papers in Armenian or French may also be accepted, provided that a detailed English summary or a full translation is submitted.
