The "Education and Career" student initiatives competition has been launched at Yerevan State University by the Alumni and Career Center.
The competition aims to develop and implement projects based on innovative ideas directed at professional development, with the goal of providing innovative and feasible solutions to existing challenges within various professional fields.
The thematic priorities of the projects are aligned with the educational programs offered at YSU.
The competition proceeds through the following key stages:
Recruitment of student team initiatives
Informational meeting
Preliminary evaluation of ideas
Pitching sessions and selection of ideas
Development of projects based on the selected ideas, mentorship support, regular consultations, and workshops
Presentation of developed projects and financing of the winning projects with a grant of 500,000 AMD
Implementation of funded projects and submission of reports
Presentation and summary of project results
After collecting ideas, YSU Alumni and Career Center conducted a preliminary evaluation and identified applications that met the competition criteria. Subsequently, an event was held where applicant teams presented their projects and responded to questions from the evaluation committee.
Following the pitching session, the best ideas were selected, and the teams worked on their projects within a designated timeframe according to established criteria. During the project development process, the Alumni and Career Center provided teams with the opportunity to receive one day of support from selected experts among YSU academic staff and partner organizations collaborating with the Career Center. This support included mentorship on content, financial, organizational, and other relevant issues.
After the presentation of the developed projects, three teams were awarded the planned funding to implement their projects.
Throughout the implementation phase, teams will have the opportunity to continue consultations with experts.
At the conclusion of the competition, the teams will present the outcomes of their work, and discussions will be held regarding plans for the upcoming academic year.
