As part of cooperation between the YSU Alumni and Career Center and U.S. biotechnology company BostonGene, an information session on the "Bioinformatics and Data Science in Oncology" course was held at the YSU Faculty of Biology.
BostonGene specializes in the comprehensive analysis of tumors and their microenvironment using Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) technologies. The company provides oncologists with detailed genetic and molecular profiles, enabling the development of personalized treatment strategies tailored to each patient's unique biological profile.
A company representative provided a detailed overview of the course curriculum and application procedure and answered students' questions.
The course provides comprehensive knowledge in bioinformatics, data science and oncology, hands-on experience in the practical application of advanced technologies, as well as opportunities for career growth in the field of precision oncology.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a professional retraining diploma in "Bioinformatics and Data Science in Oncology."
