On March 22 and 23 of this year, the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University will organize a republican conference on the topic “Current problems of hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring in the Republic of Armenia.” The purpose of the conference is to discuss the achievements and prospects for the development of fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of hydrometeorology, environmental monitoring and environmental safety, to identify and highlight the main problems, patterns of development and prospects in the field of hydrometeorology in the republic, to assess the role of the latter in solving the socio-economic problems of the region, analyze and evaluate the current state of the environment, climate change problems. During the conference, the development of modern society and issues of economic management, legal regulation of the ecosystem, as well as problems of environmental and hydrometeorological education in the Republic of Armenia will also be discussed.

The main directions of the conference are:
