The objective of the Student Conference is to familiarize students from Armenia and abroad (including undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, postdoctoral students, and early-career researchers) with modern, highly significant results in one of the fundamental areas of complex analysis — the Geometric Function Theory. It is not necessary for a participant to be an expert in the area, but rather to be interested in jointly learning the subject.
Selected participants will give 45-minute lectures on a topic assigned to them from the “Topics” section below. Questions on the assigned topic can be sent to the Scientific Committee: Hrant Hakobyan, Ara Basmajian and Dragomir Saric. In addition to preparing a talk, each participant is required to submit a draft of their slides to a.vagharshakyan@ysu.am . They will be listed on the conference website.
Applications should be submitted by February 28, 2026.
A draft of slides should be submitted by June 1st.
Sunday, July 5th, will be the arrival day in Yerevan, Armenia.
From Monday, July 6th to Thursday, July 9th the participants will give lectures at the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Yerevan State University.
Departure will be on Friday, July 10th.
A topic from the list below will be assigned to the selected participants. Applicants will indicate their top 3 topic preferences when applying. The organizers will make an effort to follow these preferences when assigning topics, but do not guarantee that this will be possible for all participants.
Selected participants are responsible for their travel expenses. The organizers will accommodate international participants in double and quadruple rooms at the YSU Guesthouse. Participants will also be provided with breakfast, coffee break, and lunch.
