Summer Workshop on Molecular Modeling and Computational Chemistry
-
From June 29 to July 3, 2026, the Summer Workshop on Molecular Modeling and Computational Chemistry will be held on the initiative of the Faculty of Chemistry.
The school–workshop, to be held in an intensive camp-style format, aims to develop the skills of young researchers in computational chemistry and molecular modeling techniques. The program includes theoretical lectures and practical mini-hackathons, providing participants with the opportunity to work on joint scientific projects using modern computational tools.
Program includes:
Morning lectures presenting the theoretical foundations of molecular modeling and recent developments in the field
Afternoon practical sessions (mini-hackathons), where participants will collaborate on scientific projects using modern computational chemistry tools
Evening poster sessions, where participants will present their research, followed by informal discussions and social events aimed at fostering collaboration
Objectives and expected outcomes
Training and capacity building: Enhancing the skills of Armenian students and young researchers in the field of computational chemistry.
Networking: Establishing new connections between Armenian and international scientists, creating opportunities for collaboration and exchange.
Community building: Strengthening the Armenian computational chemistry community by bringing together local and international participants.
Research outcomes: Initiating collaborative projects that may lead to joint scientific publications and participation in international conferences.
