The Yerevan State University (YSU) Choir once again participated in the "Universiade-2026" competition, performing a selection of songs by Sayat-Nova, including "Kani vour jan im", "Dun en hurin is", and "Chka kizi nman" (conductor: Ruben Karaseferyan; artistic director: Honored Artist of Armenia, Karen Sargsyan).
Jury member Syuzanna Melkonyan highly praised the choir's performance, noting their outstanding presentation of Armenian music, as well as their stage presence and artistry. She also emphasized the significant and responsible work of the choir's artistic director, Karen Sargsyan.
The choir members shared that this performance was more than just a stage appearance for them; it was an opportunity to once again showcase the beauty and depth of Armenian music. They highlighted that it was important not only to perform on stage but also to convey the national musical heritage to the audience with sincerity, culture, and responsibility.
"We aimed not only to sing but to convey the beauty, power, and unique spiritual depth of Armenian songs with heart and conviction," the choir members noted.
We congratulate our students and wish them continued achievements, boundless inspiration, and the strength to continue sharing Armenian music with the same devotion and love.
