Workshop with Lynn Meskell

YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, Classroom 302

On September 22, 2026, at 14:30, the YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology will host a workshop with Lynn Meskell, initiated by the Laboratory of Philosophy and Theory of History.

The two-day workshop will be led by Lynn Meskell, Professor at the University of Pennsylvania (USA), archaeologist and anthropologist, whose research brings together archaeology, heritage studies, social and political anthropology, and postcolonial theories.

The workshop will take place on:

• September 22, 2026, 14:30–16:00

• September 23, 2026, 14:30–16:00

Topics for discussion:

• Day 1: "War and Security: Heritage Conflict and the UN Council"

• Day 2: "Saving the World in the Context of Vandalism"

Participants will receive articles and source materials in advance. Reading them beforehand will help make the discussions more effective.
