Seminar-Lecture at YSU: "Overview of Digital Semiotics"

On February 19, 2026, at 11:05, the YSU Faculty of Journalism will host a seminar-lecture titled "Overview of Digital Semiotics", organized by the Chair of Media Studies and Semiotics. The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Kristian Bankov, Head of the Southeast European Center for Semiotic Studies at New Bulgarian University. 

The seminar-lecture will cover the following topics:

1. The impact of search engines (e.g., Google) on knowledge acquisition and identity formation.

2. The transformation of individual and collective identity in the digital age.

3. Prospects and challenges of semiotic theory and academic teaching in the era of artificial intelligence.
