Commemorative Event at YSU: "From Romanticism to Missolonghi: Lord Byron's Journey"

On April 22, 2026, at 13:00, YSU Charles Aznavour Cultural Center will host a commemorative event titled "From Romanticism to Missolonghi: Lord Byron's Journey", organized jointly by the Research Center-Library of Greek Studies, the Faculty of European Languages and Communication, the Faculty of History, and the Ponti Greek community of Yerevan. The event is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Exodus of Missolonghi and the birth anniversary of Lord Byron.

The event will be attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Christos Sofianopoulos, members of the Embassy staff, the head of the Center for Greek Language and Culture at Brusov State University, the head of the Ponti Greek community of Yerevan, as well as members of the community.
