At YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center, diplomas (bilingual) were ceremoniously awarded to the graduates of the three-month pedagogue certification course (comprising 30 credits), which provides pedagogical-psychological and methodological skills.
N. Harutyunyan, Director of the Pedagogy and Education Development Center, congratulated the graduates who successfully completed the course and wished them success. She emphasized that teaching is not only a job but also a mission. She also stressed today’s need to staff schools with high-quality teachers and encouraged graduates to continuously improve their professional knowledge and pedagogical skills along their teaching journey.
Armenuhi Ashikyan, Associate Professor at the center, highlighted the importance of the course and congratulated the graduates. She noted that the teaching staff took on the responsibility of this important process with great enthusiasm and dedication. Emphasizing the collaborative relationship between the center and the course participants, she stated: "There will be many challenges in pedagogical work. To provide consultation and methodological support, the doors of YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center will always be open to our graduates."
Associate Professor Lusine Hayrapetyan emphasized that love and interest in the profession are important prerequisites for self-improvement and mastery of profession-specific skills. She wished the graduates to believe in their own abilities and remain faithful to the dream that drives them toward teaching, school, and the child’s soul.
Associate Professor Naira Martiryan, Head of the Chair of Russian Language, underlined the role of YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center in organizing the high-quality pedagogue certification course. She stated that the teaching profession, being honorable and patriotic, requires responsible individuals.
"And this is exactly the kind of students who come out of this center, because the specialists here approach every educational issue with heartfelt care and great responsibility," she added.
History lecturer Susanna Serobyan, addressing the students, emphasized the teacher’s ability to empathize, respect, and dedicate themselves to children. Highlighting the teacher’s role in shaping students’ values, she stressed that a good teacher should be a model of patriotism, devotion to statehood, and a bearer of national interests and values for children.
Graduate Areg Hovhannisyan, expressing gratitude to the teaching staff, noted that the course helped him complete his understanding and knowledge of the teaching profession. He affirmed that during the training, his love for the profession grew stronger.
Vahan Misakyan, with many years of professional experience, also participated in the course to obtain pedagogue certification.
"Thanks to the course, I saw examples of people who live and create as teachers, who are creative and inspiring in their daily initiatives, changing my perceptions of the teaching profession and setting new standards for exemplary teachers for me. This course has changed many things in my life. Here, you can find your calling as a person and your mission as a professional," he said.
Graduates Sh. Danoyan and G. Martirosyan also expressed their thanks, emphasizing the importance of the course as well as the professionalism of the teaching staff and the academically stimulating environment.
At the end of the event, the graduates received their certificates (bilingual) from Director of YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center N. Harutyunyan and Course Coordinator A. Ashikyan.
The event was attended by the center’s academic staff, invited lecturers involved in the courses, and guests.
