The new academic year commenced with enthusiasm, anticipation, renewed hopes, and clearly defined goals. On the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Schooling, a welcoming meeting was held at YSU Pedagogy and Educational Development Center with first-year students of the "Social Pedagogy" bachelor’s program and the "Educational Management" master’s program.
In her opening remarks, the Director of the Center, Professor Nazik Harutyunyan, emphasized the vital importance of the social pedagogue’s profession in contemporary society. She noted that it is not merely a profession, but also a mission — to stand by the child, to support the family, and to contribute to the education and upbringing process within the broader society. Highlighting the significance of the "Educational Management" master’s program, the director underscored that the program equips future educational leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective management and the implementation of innovative approaches within the education system.
Professor Harutyunyan provided a detailed overview of key aspects of the academic process and extended her congratulations to the newly admitted students, wishing them a productive and enriching academic journey. She noted that this stage is not only a period of study but also one of self-discovery and personal development. Yerevan State University offers wide-ranging opportunities for gaining knowledge, initiating projects, and actively engaging in student life.
The first-year students were also welcomed by Associate Professors A. Ashikyan, L. Hayrapetyan, and M. Avetisyan from the Pedagogy and Educational Development Center.
