On October 2 of this year, the Pedagogy and Education Development Center at Yerevan State University hosted an event titled "I Am a Social Educator" in celebration of International Day of Social Educators.
Professor Nazik Harutyunyan, Director of YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center, congratulated students on the occasion of the professional holiday and spoke about the significance of the day. She emphasized that the noble and honorable profession of social educator is a mission aimed at the happiness of the child, the elimination of socialization barriers, and the correction and regulation of emotional and behavioral challenges.
The student-organized event at the center was dedicated to future social educator and their understanding of their profession.
During the event, students delivered various reports on field issues, highlighting the important role of social educators in work with children. Their presentations covered unique and interesting topics such as the socio-psychological technology of the human body map and neurodiversity.
Guests from partner organizations, parents, teachers, school principals, vice principals, and students from the center’s various educational programs also attended the event.
The formal part of the event was followed by poetry recitations, songs, musical performances, and a dance performance Karno Kochari staged by members of YSU Student Council’s Culture Committee.
