The STEM Camp was implemented through cooperation between the Student Scientific Society (SSS) of the YSU Institute of Physics and the ThinkLab engineering laboratory of the Russian-Armenian University, bringing together students from physics, mathematics, and engineering disciplines from various universities across Armenia.
Within the first phase of the program, which lasted approximately five months, students participated in a series of courses and seminars and also visited engineering organizations and laboratories.
The 25 top participants from the first phase advanced to the next stage and, from March 12 to 15, worked in teams at YSU's Tsaghkadzor Training and Production Base on an engineering task, developing a project for a smart manhole system. Throughout the project, participants presented their ideas, discussed design approaches, and proposed potential solutions. As a result, three teams were declared winners and were awarded prizes.
Over several months, STEM Camp served as an important platform for collaboration among young engineers, fostering experience exchange and the development of innovative ideas. In order to strengthen the established connections, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the YSU Student Scientific Society and ThinkLab of the Russian-Armenian University, marking an important step toward future joint initiatives and the development of engineering education.
