A formal diploma awarding ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year was held at the YSU Institute of Physics, marking not only due recognition of years of hard work but also the beginning of a path towards new opportunities, scientific exploration and professional achievement. The institute is confident that, through their knowledge, creative thinking and responsible work, the graduates will continue to contribute to the advancement of science and technology in Armenia and beyond.
This year, 56 institute graduates received diplomas with honours, demonstrating that high achievement is possible through knowledge, consistent effort and dedication.
Professor Khachatur Nerkararyan, Director of the Institute of Physics, congratulated the graduates and delivered welcoming remarks, emphasising that a diploma symbolises not only the completion of studies but also the beginning of new responsibilities and opportunities.
Addressing the graduates, he said: "Physics is not merely a profession; it is a culture of thought that teaches us to understand the laws of nature, find new solutions and create the future. Today, you are joining the ranks of professionals whose knowledge and professional potential contribute to the development of science, high technology, industry and energy in our country. Armenia has always had strong scientific traditions, and today you are the ones carrying them forward."
Highlighting the role of highly qualified professionals, YSU's commitment to training specialists who meet the demands of the modern labour market and the importance of education through modernised academic programs, the director wished graduates success in their professional careers.
"I wish you the courage to discover the new, the determination to overcome difficulties and success in building a stronger and more developed Armenia through science," he said.
Welcoming remarks were also delivered by Aram Saharyan, Head of the Chair of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics; Armen Tumasyan, Head of the Chair of Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics; Arsen Babajanyan, Head of the Chair of Radiophysics and Telecommunications; and Hovhannes Haroyan, Head of the Chair of Physical Process Modeling and Signal Processing.
Student Council President Yura Dallakyan spoke on behalf of the graduates, thanking the lecturers, administrative staff and parents for the support, knowledge and confidence they had provided throughout the years of study. He emphasised that the experience gained at the institute would accompany the graduates throughout the next stages of their professional careers.
The institute congratulates all its graduates and wishes them continued success, scientific achievements and a productive professional path towards the future. It is confident that the knowledge and values acquired at the YSU Institute of Physics will guide them in their future accomplishments.
