Dynamic Dielectric Permittivity Tensor of In-Plane Hyperbolic van der Waals MoOCl₂ and Emerging Chiral Photonic Applications

The YSU Institute of Physics will host its next seminar, during which the Head of the Laboratory of Advanced Functional Materials, Davit Ghazaryan, will deliver a report titled "Dynamic Dielectric Permittivity Tensor of In-Plane Hyperbolic van der Waals MoOCl₂ and Emerging Chiral Photonic Applications."

The report will address contemporary challenges in modern photonics and two-dimensional materials science. It will cover the dynamic dielectric properties of the layered van der Waals material MoOCl₂, the physical characteristics of hyperbolic media, as well as the chiral photonic phenomena arising from these properties and their application prospects in nanophotonics, optoelectronics, and advanced optical devices.
