Third-year students from the Chair of Translation Theory and Practice at the YSU Faculty of European Languages and Communication conducted a simulation game titled "Sustainable Tourism in Practice" as part of the "Tour Guiding (English-Armenian)" educational program.
Designed to enhance tourism sector knowledge, leadership skills, civic responsibility, and critical thinking among youth, the event ensured high levels of student engagement and educational efficacy.
During the game, participants assumed professional roles, discussed sustainable tourism development strategies, and made decisions regarding real-world challenges. This allowed them to develop a variety of skills and gain practical experience in management processes.
As an innovative educational method, the practical simulation provided students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, develop teamwork skills, find solutions within tight deadlines, and demonstrate creativity.
The round-table discussion was held in the newly renovated and reopened hall of the YSU Library, creating an authentic environment that further enhanced participant engagement.
