Within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange program, the YSU Chair of German Philology hosted Dr. Filip Kaláš, a lecturer from the Faculty of Applied Languages at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Dr. Kaláš conducted an intensive workshop for bachelor's and master's students on the topic "German as a Scientific Language." The topic is of particular importance for the educational programs of the Chair of German Philology, as academic writing requires not only subject-specific knowledge but also proficiency in German as a language of scientific communication.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the structure of scientific texts and strategies for clear and precise formulation. Students also had the opportunity to complete practical assignments and analyze their own written work.
Dr. Kaláš's visit significantly contributed to the development of academic writing skills, the internationalization of the chair, and the further strengthening of effective cooperation between the two universities.
