An Armenian translation of the study Literature of the Islamic Revolution has been published through cooperation between the Chair of Iranian Studies at the YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Approved for publication by the Academic Council of the YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies, the work is of key importance for understanding and analyzing the cultural and national identity of the contemporary Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), its ontological foundations, as well as the Shi'a philosophy of life that has come to form part of the country's national identity.
The book was translated by Garnik Gevorgyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Iranian Studies of the YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies and Candidate of Philological Sciences. According to the translator, the book serves as an important guide to gaining an in-depth understanding of the cultural characteristics and socio-political developments of Armenia's regional neighbor.
Representatives of the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran provided significant support for the project. The translation initiative was launched by H. Tabatabai, former Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Armenia. The book was published with the support of the current Cultural Attaché, M. A. Movahed.
The new publication is intended for specialists in Iranian studies, Oriental studies and international relations, as well as the wider public interested in Iranian culture and history.
