Aida Anastasyan, lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism and expert in administration, PhD in Philology, Lia Evoyan, senior specialist at the International Cooperation office, and Kristine Gevorgyan, coordinator of master's programs at the Center for European Studies, participated in training sessions organized in Iceland within the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program.
YSU representatives held meetings with heads and staff members of various departments at the University of Iceland. Brynjar Þór Elvarsson, Head of the International Division, presented the university’s international cooperation programs and shared its experience in organizing student mobility. Elín Jóhannsdóttir, Head of Student Services, gave a detailed overview of the support services available to both students and academic staff. Björn Gíslason, Manager of Communications and Web Editor, introduced the activities of the university’s Marketing and Public Relations Division, highlighting strategies related to digital presence.
Consultations on faculty operations, collaboration, and academic projects were also held with the participation of Birta, Eva Marín, and Professor Baldur Þórhallsson. They shared their experiences and approaches regarding the effective management of educational processes and international projects.
This visit provided YSU delegation with the opportunity to explore best practices and strategic approaches in university governance, which may be applied to enhance YSU’s own international cooperation and management processes. The outcomes of the visit are also aimed at expanding future collaboration initiatives, launching new educational and research projects, and increasing opportunities for international mobility and experience exchange for YSU employees and students.
