1. Admission criteria/requirements
Admission to the part-time mode of study of the program is carried out following the “Order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA according to the vacancies confirmed for the “Journalism” education program for the given academic year.
2. Programme Objectives
· To provide students with a modern, complex, and competitive education in Journalism
· To prepare journalists who meet the requirements of the media field, who will easily pass from the university audience to the labor market.
· Communicate knowledge and skills related to the theory and practice of journalism and specifics of the profession in individual fields.
· To develop students' mental abilities to analyze, evaluate, and compare.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- To introduce the basic concepts, functions, and tools of the media field
- To establish the characteristics of journalism and related professions
- To use the basic research, theories, and principles of the field
- To apply domestic and international laws, regulations, norms, and principles of journalistic ethics and mass media legislation
- To point out the modern theories of media influence, to analyze the activities of the world's leading media, the principles adopted by them, the directions of development
- To discuss the process of formation and establishment of convergent media due to the development of information and communication technologies, to recall the requirements for professional mastery
- To effectively apply, the necessary professional qualities in practice, in line with the nature and direction of the preferred media due to the current demands of the labor market
- To use media information to put professional experience into practice
- To apply the methods of collecting and processing facts, to use the factual material according to the format inclusion and purpose of the media text
- To construct the media text, taking into account thematic nuances and features
- To distinguish primary and secondary realities in media texts

Based on the workload of the courses (educational modules) provided by the curriculum of the educational program, the form of training, teaching methods, and taking into account the importance of the course in the formation of professional knowledge and abilities of the student, the courses are divided into 4 groups according to the evaluation form:

The Bachelor of Journalism will have the skills that meet the modern standards of the profession, which allow them to independently solve professional problems, to provide society with comprehensive, operative, and reliable news. The field of activity covers traditional and new media (press, radio, television, and online publications), news agencies, press services, and public relations.

6. Resources and forms to support learning
For the implementation of the project, the educational department has the necessary educational spaces and the necessary scientific and educational equipment, such as a computer classroom/ lighting device/ electronic whiteboard/ television/ technical means of recording and editing.
There is some literature in the educational unit, and the acquisition and development of new materials (printed and electronic) will be carried out by the teaching staff included in the program.

7. Educational standards or programme benchmarks used for programme development
When developing the "Journalism" bachelor's program, the modern national and international theoretical and methodological achievements of journalism and journalism, the transformations (convergence) caused by the development of information and communication technologies were adopted as orientation and criteria. While developing the "Journalism" Bachelor's program, similar programs of foreign universities (Russian Federation, Great Britain, USA, Germany, and France) were taken into account.
When developing the program, the characteristics presented for the 6th level of the RA National Framework of Qualifications, by the YSU Quality Assurance Center, were adopted and used as a basis.
