A three-phase scientific-practical seminar titled "Modern Transformations in the Field of Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy" was held at the YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, featuring guest speaker Dr. Hayk Petrosyan (Germany).
During the first phase of the seminar, the author presented theoretical knowledge on the principles and perspectives of modern psychotherapy. The intensive professional discussion that followed addressed various questions concerning the role, functions, and methods of the contemporary psychotherapist. In the practical phase of the seminar, participants worked in small groups, where they were introduced to effective psychotherapeutic techniques developed by the author.
The seminar was attended by the faculty's academic staff, students of the "Management Psychology" master's program, and members of Psi Chi YSU Armenia—the Armenian chapter of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology.
Hrant Avanesyan, Head of the Chair of General Psychology, emphasized that such events are crucial for professional training, acquiring new knowledge, and developing essential skills. For students, these initiatives provide a vital platform to engage with international expertise and establish professional communication.
