On February 19, the Faculty of Russian Philology hosted an event celebrating the Book Giving Day.
The program, designed as an interactive interfaculty meeting, invited participants—including students from other faculties—to answer questions on literature, covering well-known authors, literary movements, and works of fiction. Students who correctly answered at least eight out of ten questions received a book, the main symbol of the day, as a gift. Those who did not reach the required threshold were not left out; they received souvenir tags and sweets, participating in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the engaging questions, warm atmosphere, and the opportunity to receive a book as a gift.
"It was enjoyable not only to test our knowledge but also to leave with a useful and valuable gift," the students noted. Guests emphasized that such meetings contribute to the development of a reading culture and strengthen the academic community.
The celebration served as yet another confirmation that books continue to bring people together and remain an important component of university life.
