At the invitation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, a delegation from the Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan State University participated in a series of seminars held at Beijing Jiaotong University from May 14 to 27, within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
As part of the visit, members of the delegation attended seminars led by leading Chinese experts and representatives of governmental institutions. The lectures were accompanied by open discussions, during which participants shared their countries’ experiences and challenges, fostering mutual understanding and multilateral dialogue.

During the official closing ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, PhD in History, Associate Professor Tigran Yepremyan, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of educational cooperation in the modern global order and highlighting the significance of strengthening friendly and partnership-based relations between Armenia and China.
Delegation member, PhD in History, Associate Professor Roman Karapetyan presented a report on the strategic development of Armenia’s energy sector.
In addition to attending the seminars, the delegation visited a number of leading organizations, industrial, technological, scientific-educational centers, research institutes, and experimental facilities. Through their active participation, the representatives of the Faculty of International Relations left a strong impression on both the event organizers and fellow participants, earning particular attention and appreciation.
YSU delegation’s visit to the People’s Republic of China reflects the ongoing development of academic and scientific ties between Armenia and China. Such initiatives contribute to the further deepening of cooperation, the strengthening of academic dialogue, and the development of joint projects that are significant for both the advancement of university education and international relations.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants were awarded certificates of participation.
During the visit, prospects for future academic and scientific cooperation with Chinese partners were also outlined.
