From August 8 to 13 of this year, Dean of YSU Faculty of International Relations, Ph.D., Associate Professor Tigran Yepremyan, along with Ph.D., Associate Professor Roman Karapetyan, left for a working visit to the Republic of India.
Within the framework of the visit, Tigran Yepremyan and Roman Karapetyan participated in an academic conference titled "Geopolitics of the Himalayan Region," held at the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi.
At Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi — one of India’s leading higher education institutions — Dean Tigran Yepremyan delivered a lecture titled "History and Geopolitics in the South Caucasus." Associate Professor Karapetyan also delivered a talk covering the same topic.

Following the lecture, the representatives of YSU held meetings with the leadership and academic staff of JNU's School of International Studies, including the distinguished Professor Srikanth Kondapalli. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between YSU Faculty of International Relations and Jawaharlal Nehru University, addressing a range of topics such as organizing international conferences, faculty exchange programs, student mobility initiatives, joint supervision of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, as well as coordination of collaborative research projects and publications.
Dean Tigran Yepremyan emphasized the rich historical ties between Armenia and India and underscored the importance of deepening interdisciplinary academic collaboration. An agreement was reached to continue discussions aimed at signing a memorandum of cooperation between YSU and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
