Mane Tsaturyan, a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan State University, presented her master's thesis at the United Nations Office in Brussels on November 10 of this year. She had defended the thesis last year while studying at the College of Europe in Natolin (Warsaw) as part of the "European Interdisciplinary Studies" program.
Her master's thesis, titled "EU Multilateral Diplomacy: The European Union's Engagement in the UN Security Council Reform Process", was recognized as the best research paper on the theme "Europe, Multilateralism and the UN" among approximately 300 competing studies at the conclusion of her program. The award included a six-month paid internship and the opportunity to present her work at the UN Office in Brussels.
Mane Tsaturyan's academic supervisor was Thomas Mayer-Harting, former Head of the EU Delegation to the UN and former President of the UN Security Council. As part of her research, she conducted interviews with several high-level international figures, including Ambassador Alexander Marschik, Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Negotiations on UN Security Council reform, and former President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy. These contributions significantly enriched the depth and quality of her research findings.
During the 2023–2024 academic year, she studied at the Natolin campus of the College of Europe (Poland) in the "European Interdisciplinary Studies" master's program, supported by the EU4Youth scholarship. Founded in 1949 by a decision of the Congress of Europe, the College of Europe is today one of the leading educational institutions in European politics, diplomacy, and governance.
Currently, she continues her professional career in Armenia at the European Union Delegation, working in the Political, Press, and Information Section. Her academic and professional activities focus on European politics, multilateral diplomacy, and the systematic study of international relations, making a significant contribution to strengthening Armenia's presence in European institutions and on international platforms.
