A meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic, Petr Pirunčík, was held at the YSU Faculty of International Relations. Faculty Dean Tigran Yepremyan delivered welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of such meetings in enhancing students' professional readiness, deepening their understanding of international processes, and providing practical experience.
During the meeting, the ambassador outlined the key stages of the Czech Republic's historical development, highlighting the formation of medieval statehood, the period of cultural revival, and the establishment of the modern Czech state. He stressed the importance of strengthening democratic institutions and building a society grounded in European values.
Pirunčík also spoke about the distinctiveness of Czech culture, noting the significant role of literature, music, architecture, and the arts in preserving national identity. He emphasized that the Czech Republic's rich historical and cultural heritage represents not only a source of national pride but also an area of strong international interest.
Speaking about the country's diverse cities and developed infrastructure, the ambassador presented several of the Czech Republic's major urban centers, highlighting their historical, economic, and educational significance.
At the end of the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions about the Czech Republic's historical experience, cultural policy, and prospects for international cooperation.
The event contributed to enriching students' academic knowledge and broadening their understanding of the historical and cultural development of a European state.
