A ceremonial certificate award ceremony was held at the YSU Faculty of International Relations for participants of a four-month Korean language course and the e-Korean Studies Basic Lecture Series.
Organized in cooperation with the Korea Studies Centre at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, the event featured presentations on the Korean language, literature, and culture, as well as recitations and musical and dance performances.
In his welcoming remarks, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Associate Professor Tigran Yepremyan, PhD in History, emphasized the importance of advancing Korean language instruction and Korean studies at the university. He noted that international educational programs and active academic cooperation create broad opportunities for students' development and enable them to become competitive professionals in the global arena. Following his remarks, Yepremyan, together with Suzanna Navasardyan, Head of the Chair of Diplomatic Service and Professional Communication, presented certificates to participants who successfully completed the e-Korean Studies Basic Lecture Series.
Lee Somyung, Director of the Moscow Office of the Korea Foundation and the event's guest of honor, delivered a congratulatory address, highly commending the students' dedication and interest in the field.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the university administration and academic staff.
The successful implementation of this program marks another important step toward expanding Yerevan State University's international partnerships and strengthening Armenian-Korean educational and cultural ties, laying the foundation for new and more comprehensive joint initiatives in the future.
