The YSU Faculty of International Relations hosted a roundtable discussion on Eurasian issues, Armenia–China bilateral relations, and the global Belt and Road initiative.
As part of the event, the faculty hosted a high-level delegation from the Institute of East European, Russian, and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, led by the Institute's Director Sun Zhuangzhi.
Particular attention was paid to Armenia–China relations and the potential avenues and prospects for deepening bilateral political, economic, educational and cultural cooperation. The Belt and Road initiative was also discussed, along with Armenia's role and opportunities within this framework.
The event concluded with an active question-and-answer session, during which participants had the opportunity to address questions to their Chinese colleagues and engage in an in-depth exchange of views. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their commitment to continue, further strengthen, and systematize cooperation between the YSU Faculty of International Relations and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, including plans to organize joint conferences and meetings in the future.
