Admission Requirements

Admission to the full-time and part-time Master's programmes of Yerevan State University for the 2026/2027 academic year is conducted in accordance with the Regulations on Admission to the Master's Programmes (Full-time and Part-time) of Yerevan State University.

Programme Objective

The Master's Programme in International Economic Relations aims to prepare economists capable of working in diverse cultural environments while taking into account different social and economic norms and patterns of behavior.

Graduates of the programme may pursue careers in public and private organizations in the Republic of Armenia whose activities involve international economic relations, as well as in the offices of international economic organizations operating in Armenia.

During their studies, students acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in international economic relations. Given the increasing importance of international economic relations for every country—particularly for small developing economies such as the Republic of Armenia—graduates of the programme enjoy a distinct competitive advantage in the labor market.

Students enrolled in the Master's programme complete their professional internships in various organizations across the Republic of Armenia that have departments responsible for international economic affairs. Based on the experience of previous years, internship placements often provide opportunities for subsequent employment.

Graduates of the Master's Programme in International Economic Relations may pursue careers in the offices of international economic organizations operating in the Republic of Armenia, including:

• The International Monetary Fund 

• United Nations economic agencies 

• Embassies of various countries accredited to the Republic of Armenia 

A significant number of public and private organizations in Armenia maintain departments responsible for international economic relations, where graduates of the programme may be employed. Commercial banks operating in Armenia are engaged in trade finance, servicing international loans, foreign exchange and financial transactions, and correspondent banking relations with international financial institutions. Graduates of the programme are qualified to perform all of these functions.
