Head of the Chair of Criminal Law at YSU Faculty of Law Anna Margaryan and lecturer at the same chair Liana Marukyan participated in the European Society of Criminology annual conference, held at the University of Warsaw from September 9 to 12.
Representatives from more than 60 countries took part in the international conference. The YSU representatives delivered presentations on the results of their studies addressing issues related to juvenile delinquency and penal policy in Armenia.
The conference program included working group meetings, panel and plenary discussions, and poster presentations, providing participants with an opportunity to discuss current research issues and establish new opportunities for collaboration.
Representatives of the YSU Faculty of Law discussed opportunities for joint research and publications with representatives of a number of universities and research centers in Europe and Asia. They also discussed with the leadership of the European Society of Criminology the possibility of hosting academic seminars at YSU organized by the society's working groups.
