On October 15, students from the YSU Faculty of Armenian Philology visited the Hrant Matevosyan Cultural Center to attend an event organized by the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum. The visit was initiated by the External Relations Committee of the Faculty Student Council.
During the event, actor Vardan Petrosyan spoke about the nearly year-long process of recording his reading of Hovhannes Tumanyan's poem "David of Sasun" for the Voske Daran app. He shared insights into the reading process, the particular demands of the work and his experience in the field.
The event also featured an exhibition of manuscripts related to Tumanyan's scholarly work on the "David of Sasun" epic. Students had the opportunity to explore rare archival materials, gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of studying and preserving Armenia's literary heritage.
The visit broadened students' knowledge of Armenian literature and cultural heritage while introducing them to modern approaches to studying literary works and bringing them to wider audiences.
